King Cole Hedgerow Chunky Yarn Review

Image
I recently bought a few balls of  King Cole Hedgerow Chunky , and I was really curious to see how the colour changes would work up. It’s described as being inspired by countryside hedgerows, and that really comes through in the shades. The colours move gently from one tone to the next, with a slightly marled look running through parts of the strand. It’s not a bold, high-contrast striping yarn — the transitions are softer and more blended, which crochets up really prettily. This post contains affiliate links. Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran Review

Image
It always feels like Christmas when I get that knock on the door and it's my postman delivering yarn — even when it’s a yarn I already know and love. Paintbox yarns Simply Aran is one of those brands I reach for again and again, but I still get that little spark of joy when a yarny parcel arrives.  I use Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran a lot in my patterns, and my favourite thing to make with it is definitely blankets. It’s soft, comfortable to work with, and comes in a nice range of colours, which makes it ideal for mixing, matching, and creating really beautiful blanket designs. It’s also easy to care for and has a slight sheen in the light. Paintbox Yarns is LoveCrafts’ own yarn brand , which means Simply Aran is only available through LoveCrafts . I’ve included a link above if you’d like to have a closer look or try it out for yourself. This post contains affiliate links. Image
There’s something so exciting about a new yarn haul — I love grabbing a few balls of yarn just to see what they’re like in real life. You never quite know what you’re going to get when shopping online, and that first feel of the fibre, seeing the colours up close, and getting your hook in… it’s just a little thrill every time. I picked up Yarnsmiths Freespirit Aran in a few shades, and it’s soft, squishy, and just so pretty. The yarn is a beautiful self-striping marled yarn, with two colours twisted together that gradually change as you crochet. The colourways are gorgeous and the gradual changes make even simple stitches look really special, exactly the kind of yarn that makes you want to crochet for hours, just to see how the colours work up .
