Why I Love This Crochet Sun Hat Pattern
I love a good crochet summer hat pattern because it’s one of those projects that is both beautiful and really useful. There’s something especially satisfying about making a hat that doesn’t just sit in a drawer but gets worn again and again throughout the warmer months.
Whether you're heading into the garden, spending time outdoors, or packing for a summer trip, a crochet sun hat is always a welcome addition.
I love the combination of simple stitches and beautiful texture. The Prairie Stitch gives the hat a lovely finished look while still being enjoyable to crochet, and the cotton yarn keeps it light, breathable, and comfortable to wear on sunny days. It’s the kind of project that works up into something practical, stylish, and handmade all at the same time, I hope you will enjoy making it too.

About the Yarn!
The Prairie Breeze Sun Hat is made using Yarn and Colors Epic, a 100% cotton aran-weight yarn. Each 50g ball contains approximately 82 yards and is machine washable, making it a practical choice for warm weather makes.
The yarn has a soft, matte finish which gives lovely stitch definition and helps the hat hold its shape well while still feeling comfortable to wear. It comes in a wide range of colours, allowing you to choose the perfect shade for your project.
