How to Crochet the Griddle Stitch Free Pattern & Video Tutorial
Griddle Stitch Crochet Tutorial
The griddle stitch is a very simple one row repeat and gives a gorgeous textured fabric. It’s perfect for blankets, scarves, dishcloths, and all those quick makes where you want something that looks good on both sides, and if you are looking for braindead crochet then this is just the stitch.
I suffer from chronic fatigue which often comes with brain fog and this is one of the reasons I love simple stitches so much. I don't need to think about it and can just relax and watch the telly or listen to an audio book while I crochet. Keep reading to learn how to crochet the griddle stitch.
What You’ll Need
For this tutorial I used Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran with a 5.5 mm hook, but you can use any yarn you fancy. Just pair it with the recommended hook size on the label. The griddle stitch works well with pretty much anything, from cotton to acrylic blends, so feel free to dive into your stash.
