Ditsy Daisy bunting. Decorate a childs room or pretty up your home with my pretty daisy bunting pattern...

Hello friends, it's been a while again since I last posted but here we are at last and with a new pattern to share with you.  My Ditsy Daisy granny square has been so popular I thought why not use it to decorate your home.  So my granny square became a triangle and the triangle became this pretty daisy buntiing and who doesn't love a bit of bunting?

The perfect way to add a touch of colour and cheeriness to your home, or a childs room and I have made an acompanying video tutorial to work alongside the written pattern.

As always an ad free pdf version of this pattern is available in my online stores, thank you for helping to support my work...

Velvet Baubles - Make these decadent decorations for your tree, Christmas Cal...

Well hello everyone.  This is the last addition to the Christmas craft along this year and is so quick and easy you can make it in a matter of minutes.  What better way to finish our craft along than with something pretty to hang on your tree.  I have loved using the Bernat Velvet yarn so much and this is the perfect way to use up those last scraps of yarn.

Velvet Baubles

Materials

Bernat Velvet (small amounts)
Darning needle
60mm bauble
Stitch marker
Ribbon

Hook

6mm (J)

Abbreviations US Terms (UK Conversion)

sc - single crochet (double crochet)
sc2tog - single crochet 2 together (double crochet 2 together)
ch - chain
st(s) - stitch(es)
pm - place marker

Other notes:  Velvet Baubles are worked in a spiral, do not join.  Move marker up at the end of each round.

Starting with a magic loop

Round 1 ch1 (does not count as st), 6sc into ring.  Pull tight but do not join. Pm in 1st sc.

Round 2 Starting in the first sc from previous round, 2sc in each stitch around (12sc)

Round 3 [2 sc in first stitch, sc in next st] repeat around (18sc)

Round 4 [2sc in first stitch, sc in next 2 sts] repeat around (24sc)

Rounds 5-7 Sc in each st around.

Round 8 [sc2tog, sc2] repeat around.  (18sc)

Now comes the tricky part.  Stretch your crochet over the plastic ball and continue to work around.

Round 9 [sc2tog, sc1] repeat around.  (12sc)

Round 10 [sc2tog] repeat around.  (6sc)

Bind off, leaving a long tail and thread yarn onto a sewing needle.  Work your yarn under each stitch and pull tight.  I find it easier to pop off the top of the bauble to do this.  Bind off hiding yarn inside the crochet.

Replace the top of your bauble and hot glue if necessary.  Add some ribbon and hang on your tree…

Pin it for later...

I hope you enjoyed the pattern and have a wonderful Christmas.

Last Minute Christmas Crochet - My top selections, for quick and easy projects, to decorate your home with...

Hello friends!  I'm sure you are all super busy this holiday season, but there is always time for crochet right?  It's so nice at this time of year, to be indoors, all cosy and warm.  With your Christmas decorations up and feeling festive with a little something Christmasy on your hook.  Go make yourself a nice cup of coco, get your hook out and crochet up one of these lovelies...

You can never have too many baubles on your tree and these crochet ones are so pretty.  I love the way the gaps in the crochet allow the ball underneath to shine through and the sparkly yarn adds extra glitz.  You can find this pattern at Annie Design Crochet.

This time of year is always so busy, busy, busy.  What with all the shopping, decorating and cooking, but you can still whip up this super cute, crochet Santa in no time at all.  Add a hanging thread for an adorable tree decoration, or you could make lots and use them for gift toppers.  The pattern is by Little Johns Yarn.

Want something squishy to cuddle up to this Christmas?  Then look no further than 3amgracedesigns' cuddly candy cane.

Candy Cane Kawaii Cuddler

I'm not a big drinker usually, but I do like to have a little tipple at Christmas.  A nice glass of mulled wine or maybe a Baileys over ice.  This festive tree coaster will have you feeling merry and bright in no time, along with a glass of sherry and a mince pie?  The pattern is by Fluffy Stitches.

Another little something to hang on your tree.  Isn't he just adorable?  I love this pattern by my good friend Marjan, which you can find on her blog here...

Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer

Every fireplace need stockings at Christmas and this design by Sincerely Pam is so quick and easy, you can make it in just a few hours.  The pattern is perfect for beginner crocheters too.  Make them for gifts or just hang to decorate your home.

Lastly we have another hanging ornament and this one is such an unusual idea and is reminiscent of a vintage Christmas.  This pretty ice skate pattern is by Crochet Cloudberry.
