Hello friends, the sun is shining and I hope you are all able to get out and enjoy the weather.  I have put together some really cute, quick and easy crochet projects to make for your kids, with a summer theme.  The patterns are all free and by my favourite designers, so be sure to go and check them out.

I love this cute zesty coin purse by Crochet Cloudberry.  Perfect for your little ones to keep their pennies in, or for yourself...

All I hear from Little T in the summer is "Mum can I have an ice pop?".  If your kids love them too then they will love these ice pop cosies by Green Fox Farm Designs.

In the UK we have been making rainbows to hang in our windows to show our support for the NHS.  Why not make one for your kids to hang in their windows too.  The pattern is by The Crafty Therapist.

When the sun is hot, keep your kids cool in a cute, cotton sun hat.  I'm sure this pattern by Cute & Cosy Crochet would look just as good for a boy in more masculine colours.

Crochet For Valentine's Day - Free patterns by my favourite designers, including new designs for 2020...

Hello friends.  It's that time of year again, when we think of all those people close to us that we love and what better way to show how much we care, than by making them a crochet gift.  Here are some of my favourites.  Enjoy!

It wouldn't be Valentine's Day without hearts and these crochet ones are so quick and easy to make and there are so many ways you could use them.  This pattern is by Itchin' for some Stitchin'.

Crochet Tea Party - Free patterns selected by Lullaby Lodge...

When I was a little girl, I loved having tea parties with my dolls and teddys.  I had a tiny brown tea set, which made me feel ever so grown up, as it was made from real china.  I loved it and played with it frequently.  These days we don't always like to give our children anything breakable, so why not make a crochet version, complete with all sorts of yummy goodies fit for a princess.  I have found some fantastic free patterns that will ensure your little one has the perfect tea party.

Crochet Tea Party

The first thing you need is a tea set and this one comes complete with a teapot, and cups and saucers.  The pattern is available at Red Heart.

Tea & Cookies Party Set

Let's start off our afternoon tea, with a lovely sandwich.  This pattern is by Yummi Gurumi and is available at Craft Foxes.  I just love the detail in the tomatoes and lettuce.

Your little one will love these replicas of family favourite biscuits.  You can't beat a Jammy Dodger and what tea party would be complete without some Party Rings.  You can find this pattern at Molly Makes.

Cute Biscuits

These donuts by My Sewing Mall look good enough to eat...

We probably should have at least one healthy option at our tea party and these crochet strawberries look too cute for words.  The pattern is by Crafty Marie.

Plush Strawberry

...and finally every tea party needs cupcakes and these kawai ones are just the cutest thing you have ever seen.  The pattern is by Candy Van Sweet and available to download at Ravelry.

Amazing Amigurumi - Free crochet patterns selected by Lullaby Lodge

I learned to knit when I was around 7 years old, my mum taught me.  I made lots of things as a child, mostly clothes for my dolls and then I didn't knit for many years.  It wasn't until I had my son that I took up my needles again and the first thing I made was a knitted Iggle Piggle.  My son loved In The Night Garden and this was the first of many knitted toys I made for him.  I had caught the bug again and also taught myself to crochet, watching videos on Youtube.  I no longer make any stuffed toys as Little T is, well, not so little anymore.  I very much admire all the amazing amigurumi patterns out there though and thought you might like to see some of my favourites...

Amazing Amigurumi

I love foxes and these amigurumi ones are just adorable and super squishy, crocheted in chenille yarn.  The pattern is by Crafty Bunny Bun.

Foxy Fox Amigurumi

This crochet deer is too cute for words and I just love his knitted jumper.

Another amigurumi crocheted in chenille yarn, this time an adorable bunny with floppy ears.  The pattern is available at Crochet For You blog.

Any Hungry Caterpillar fans out there?  Then this is the pattern for you.  Designed by Aidie & Jelly Bean.

The Little Caterpillar

Why not crochet this super cute hippo and his tiny friend.  Pattern by Tarturumies.

Melman & Pi

I think this one is my favourite, I have always had a love of rag dolls and this mermaid rad doll is just stunning.  The pattern is by Spin a Yarn Crochet.
